Standard Returns (Within 30 Days)

  • Eligibility: Most new, unused items can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date for a refund.
  • Condition: Items must be returned in like-new condition:
    • No signs of use, wear, or damage.
    • In their original, intact packaging.
    • With all accessories, manuals, and materials included.
  • Exceptions: Some items can only be returned if unopened and sealed. These items are non-returnable unless defective:
    • Hygiene Exceptions: Wind instruments (e.g. harmonicas, recorders, reeds), earplugs, or in-ear monitors.
    • Consumables: Items like guitar strings or cleaning supplies.
    • Opened software, digital downloads, or prints.

How to Start a Return

  1. Submit your return request: You MUST contact us first to get a Return Authorization. Log in to your account at https://account.tempohut.com, or email us at support@tempohut.com with your order number and reason for return. Returns without prior authorization may be refused.
  2. Pack Carefully & Ship: Once the return is approved by our customer service, securely package the item in its original shipping box, to prevent damage during transit.

Return Costs and Fees

  • Shipping: Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. Original shipping fees are non-refundable; If your order included free shipping, the actual shipping cost we paid will be deducted from your refund.
  • Restocking Fees: A restocking fee may apply to returns that are opened, show use, miss parts, are special orders, or are approved after 30 days.
  • International Returns (outside Canada): Customers outside Canada are responsible for all shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, and brokerage fees associated with the return. These charges are non-refundable.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Clearance, Final Sale, or "As-Is" items.
  • Customized items and Special Orders.
  • Opened Software or Digital Downloads.
  • Print Music (books, sheet music).
  • Opened consumable items (e.g., strings, reeds, cleaning supplies).
  • Items noted above under "Hygiene Exception" if their packaging is opened.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

  • Inspect: Please inspect your order immediately upon arrival.
  • Report: If your item is defective, damaged in transit, or you received the wrong product, contact us within 48 Hours of delivery at support@tempohut.com.
  • Evidence: Provide your order number and clear photos showing the issue (for damaged items, include photos of the shipping box exterior/label, interior packaging, and the damaged item itself).
  • Resolution: We will evaluate the issue and arrange for a replacement or refund, including covering return shipping costs for verified claims.

Processing Your Return

  • Request Review & Approval: Once you submit a return request, our team will review it. We will email you to confirm if your return request is approved and provide detailed instructions on how to ship the item(s) back to us. Do not ship items before receiving this approval and instructions.
  • Receipt & Inspection: After we receive your authorized returned item, our team will inspect the product's condition and process the return.
  • Notification & Refund: We will notify you by email once the inspection is complete, confirming the final approval status of your return.
    • If approved, your refund (less any applicable deductions like restocking fees or original/promotional shipping costs) will be issued to your original payment method within 5-10 business days after this final approval notification.
    • Please remember that your bank or credit card company may take additional time to process and post the refund to your account.
  • Follow Up: If it has been more than 15 business days since you received our final return approval/refund notification email and you still haven't received your refund, please contact us at support@tempohut.com so we can investigate.

European Union 14 day cooling off period

Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
